Question: How do I get an invoice into SC6?

Question: Your OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer - such as General Motors, Ford, Hyundai, etc.) provides you with a web-based locator  tool. For General Motors it is called Global Connect. Ford calls theirs Smart Vincent. Ask someone at your dealership for access to the locator tool. Using the locator tool, find (locate) the vehicle you wish to quote to your customer. Once you have access to your locator tool, follow the steps below.

Question: Why are some SalesCatcher options at the top of the screen dimmed?

Question: These are all additional modules for purchase that add increased functionality to SalesCatcher (ie, Inventory, Incentives, Vin Decode, APOS). Click them for more information and to purchase. Bundled discounts are available by calling 888-319-1276.

Question: Why do the Images and Send Menus dim after I paste in an invoice?

Question: To more easily guide you through the quoting process. When you feel confident quoting on SC6 and wish to disable this guiding tool, simply click on SalesCatcher Sally in the upper right corner . We recommend leaving Sally on for your first few quotes.

Question: How can I add Out the door pricing to my quote?

Question: You may add an Out-The-Door Price manually by using Send->Review & Send.

SalesCatcher doesn't do this automatically because in many states email conversations discussing sales and pricing are considered legal binding documents. The number of states enforcing this is growing every month. If you quote an Out the door price based on todays rebates and the customer comes in after the rebates have expired, you could be legally bound to sell the vehicle/product for that price if you do not have the proper supporting statements on your email. For that reason, SalesCatcher never adds an out the door price automatically. You may however, use Send->Review & Send to add whatever you like to the email manually.

Question: What is APOS?

Question: A.P.O.S. or Automatic Pre-Owned Sugesstion, matches the model you are quoting with other pre-owned models in you inventory that have a lower selling price. It is a great way to let your perspective customer know you have other choices that could save them money. If you are quoting a Stutz Bearcat and you have no Bearcats in your inventory, APOS will look for other vehicles based on a lower selling price. You may turn off the APOS results by using the Image->Auto Pre-Owned Suggestions->Clear all APOS menu selection.

Question: What is MAIP?

Question: M.A.I.P. or Manually Added Inventory Picture, allows you to select an inventory vehicle to offer as an alternative suggestion. You may specify a title line and a price line to be included with the image of the vehicle. With MAIP you may suggest either new or pre-owned vehicles (or both) for customers to consider.

Question: Why am I seeing Caution large image on my inventory images?

Question: This is just a notification that the image in your inventory feed is larger than the recommended size. SC6 will reduce the pixel data to the size shown on your screen. This helps your quote get past spam filters that look for large images. However, your customer may have to wait a few extra seconds for the image to appear in their email message. The solution is to have the service that provides photos of your vehicle create low resolution for your inventory feed.

Question: I just changed my Sales Rep photo/picture/image. The new photo is not showing up. Why?

Question: Google Chrome (and IE-11): With the Personal Information frame displayed, right-click inside of it and select  Reload Frame (Refresh on IE-11). Safari and other browsers: Logout and log back on again.

Question: How can I insert custom rebate/incentive description(s) into my quote for special incentives such as State Fair Cash and/or Auto Show Cash, a special trim package incentive, etc.?

Question: This is a two-step process and quite easy. It is assumed that these "special" descriptions and/or breakdowns are typed once and used frequently.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew LTZ Texas Edition
    Total value: $2,500.00

    • $  500 Customer Cash (all qualify)
+ $1000 Dallas Cowboy Playoffs rebate (must reside in zip codes (75201 - 75233)
+ $1000 Option Package Discount (must order package option PGE or PCM)

You could also type this into the Review & Send editor directly, but that takes much longer. It is much faster to have those special incentive descriptions saved and ready to copy and paste!
